    As an intern at The Daily Herald, one of Chicago’s largest suburban newspapers, I not only pitched this story to my editor but also landed it as an A-1 centerpiece on all editions.

    Do you think of a forest when you drink a beer? Didn't think so. This campaign hopes to change that by connecting the "drops" between beer, water and forests. Main message: "If you love beer, you gotta love forests."

    We used the power of puns on Valentine's Day to encourage sustainable gift giving over the typical flowers and chocolates. And, it worked! In just 15 days, we raised $10,000 for our Plant A Billion trees campaign.
